Graeme Fitchett

Head of Children's Services & Professional Development

I’ve had the privilege of being part of Centrepoint since 2002. What began as an opportunity to work with children has grown into a lifelong passion and career dedicated to helping young people thrive through play, creativity, and care.

Over the years, I’ve developed and grown alongside Centrepoint — from working directly with children in Playcare to now leading as Head of Children’s Services and Professional Development. My journey has been shaped by the incredible people, opportunities, and experiences this organisation has given me.

Centrepoint has always believed in investing in its people. I’ve been supported to achieve a Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership, a Dance Teacher qualification, Bushcraft Practitioner qualification, and a wide range of specialist training that has helped shape the leader, mentor, and advocate I am today.

I’m immensely proud of the work we do — from our nurseries and playcare centres to our outreach programmes, SPARK initiatives, training hub, and forest school projects. Every part of Centrepoint reflects our belief that play changes everything and that every child deserves to be seen, heard, and given the chance to thrive.

I’m inspired every day by our dedicated staff and the incredible children and families we work with. Centrepoint isn’t just where I work — it’s a community I care deeply about, and I’m proud to continue shaping its future.
