Learning through play
Our qualified team focus on the prime areas of early development, helping each child build the foundations for lifelong learning. Following the Development Matters Framework, we support children from babies of 3 months through to school age, knowing that real learning happens through play, relationships and curiosity. Every child is encouraged to be independent, imaginative and joyful as they explore the world.
Outdoors every day
There's always something to discover outside. The garden may be compact, but it's cleverly designed for exploration, creativity and movement. Children ride bikes and scooters, get stuck into the mud kitchen, dig in the sandpit and use natural materials to build and imagine. Whatever the weather, outdoor play stays at the heart of every day, proof that even small spaces can inspire big adventures.

With easy access from the northern parishes, La Pouquelaye Nursery is a natural, beautifully designed space for babies and young children to grow, learn and play. Based within the main Playcare Centre at La Pouquelaye, it's a nurturing setting with a strong sense of community, where children feel safe, supported and free to be themselves.
We focus on the key areas of your child's development, laying the foundations for future learning and wellbeing. Our approach follows the Development Matters Framework, and we know that true growth happens through strong, trusting relationships between children, our team and families.
Outdoors is where La Pouquelaye shines. Across several play spaces, children can climb, run, dig and create to their heart's content. From the outdoor classroom to the mud kitchens, sandpits and chicken run, every day brings new discoveries. Our team make sure outdoor play happens in every season, because we believe fresh air, imagination and adventure belong together. So wellies and spare clothes are always a good idea.
