Learning Through Play
Our highly qualified team focus on the prime areas of early development, helping each child build the foundations for lifelong learning. Following the Development Matters Framework, we support children from birth through to school age, understanding that real learning happens through play, relationships and curiosity. Every child is encouraged to be independent, imaginative and joyful in their exploration of the world.
Outdoors Every Day
With bright and cheerful outdoor areas, there’s always something to discover. Though the space is compact, it’s cleverly designed to offer plenty of opportunities for exploration, creativity and movement. Children enjoy riding bikes and scooters, experimenting in the mud kitchen, digging in the sandpit, and using natural materials to build, imagine and play. Whatever the weather, outdoor play remains at the heart of each day at La Pouquelaye — proving that even small spaces can inspire big adventures.

With easy access from the northern parishes, La Pouquelaye Nursery is a natural and beautifully designed space for babies and young children to grow, learn and play. Based within the main Playcare Centre, this nurturing environment offers a strong sense of community where children feel safe, supported and free to be themselves.
We focus on the key areas of your child’s development, laying down the foundations for future learning and wellbeing. Our approach follows the Development Matters Framework, recognising that true growth happens through strong, trusting relationships between children, practitioners and families.
Outdoors, La Pouquelaye Nursery shines. Across multiple play spaces, children can climb, run, dig and create to their heart’s content. From our outdoor classroom to the mud kitchens, sandpits and chicken run, every day is an opportunity for new discoveries. Our dedicated team make sure outdoor play happens in every season — because we believe that fresh air, imagination and adventure belong together.
