Based within the main Playcare Centre at La Pouquelaye with easy access from the northern parishes and town, La Pouquelaye Nursery is a nurturing setting where babies and young children can play, explore and flourish. Our nursery is a special place where confidence grows naturally through discovery and connection and where children feel safe, supported and encouraged to be themselves.
Learning through play
Our qualified team focus on the prime areas of early development, helping each child build the foundations for lifelong learning. Following the Birth to 5 Matters Framework, we support children from babies of 3 months through to school age, knowing that real learning happens through play, relationships and curiosity. Every child is encouraged to be independent, creative and explore the world in their own unique way with the nurturing care from our team. We recognise trusting relationships between children, our team and families are at the heart of this.
Outdoors every day
Our outdoor area offers a rich outdoor learning experience, inspiring curiosity and opportunities to connect with nature. Across several play spaces, children can climb, run, dig in the sandpit, build and create to their heart's content. From children exploring the mud kitchen and sandpit to water play and riding bikes, every day brings new discoveries. Our team make sure outdoor play happens in every season, because we believe fresh air, exploration and adventure belong together, building healthy minds and bodies. So wellies and spare clothes are always a good idea!
