At Centrepoint Playcare, La Pouquelaye, we believe play isn’t a luxury — it’s a right. Our purpose-built Playcare Centre gives children aged 4 to 12 years a space that’s entirely their own — safe, exciting and full of opportunities to explore, create and connect. Every day is different, and every child is encouraged to make choices, take safe risks and find joy in discovery.
A World of Adventure and Imagination
Our Playcare offers something for every child — whether they’re full of energy, bursting with imagination, or quietly creative. Indoors, children can dive into arts and crafts, construction, dressing up, and imaginative play or unwind in our chill out zone and games rooms. Outdoors, adventure is never far away — with large play areas, climbing equipment, a five-a-side football pitch, and our bushcraft zone for den building, campfires and tool use. And now, with the launch of our brand-new Centrepoint Skate Park, children can ride scooters, skateboards and BMXs in a safe, inclusive and inspiring space. It’s the perfect environment for learning new skills, building balance and confidence, and celebrating movement in all its forms.

Alongside qualified playworkers, we have teachers, dance instructors, sports coaches, and forest school leaders, all united by one goal — to make play meaningful, exciting and full of purpose. They know when to join in, when to step back, and how to transform everyday moments into opportunities for learning, laughter and growth.

As proud duty bearers of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) — especially Article 31: the right to play — we’re committed to giving every child the time, space and freedom to play, belong and thrive.
Our La Pouquelaye Playcare Centre is Jersey’s only dedicated, purpose-built Playcare facility — designed entirely around children and their need to explore. Here, children can move freely between creative play, active games, and outdoor adventures, supported by skilled practitioners who understand that play is how children make sense of the world.
During term time, we offer both Breakfast Club and After School Club, providing wraparound care that fits around family life. In the holidays, our Holiday Club bursts into life — with themed days, trips across the island, cooking sessions, water slides, forest school adventures, and arts and sports activities. Thanks to our fleet of minibuses, the whole island becomes our playground — from beaches and dunes to woodlands and parks.
Our Playcare environment is alive with creativity and possibility. Indoors, children can explore arts and crafts, role play, games and construction. Outdoors, they can climb, race, balance and build in our open play areas, bushcraft zone, and the new Centrepoint Skate Park — a space where confidence, community and creativity roll side by side.
