About Us

We're Jersey's childcare charity. For more than 30 years, we've cared for the island's children and stood beside their families.

A Jersey charity, born and raised

We've been at the heart of the island's childcare for more than 30 years. Local roots, local families, and a team who know Jersey inside out.

Care that's led by play

Children learn best when they're busy being children. Days here are full of mud, stories, friendships and curiosity, indoors and out.

Here for every family

As a charity, we're not chasing profit. We're here to make good childcare possible for every family in Jersey, whatever life looks like.

Who we are

Centrepoint is a Jersey childcare charity, caring for children from 3 months to 12 years across our nurseries, Playcare and The Space. Because we're a charity, we're not chasing profit. That means our time and care can go further, and we can be there for families who need a little extra help. We're registered and regulated by the Childcare and Early Years Service (CEYS), part of the Government of Jersey.

Our purpose and vision

Our purpose is simple: to make childcare possible for every family. Our vision is to be Jersey's leading childcare provider, to the benefit of every family in Jersey. That means giving children the best possible start, supporting their development through exploration, learning and fun, and standing beside families through the good days and the hard ones.

The values we live by

Five values hold everything together at Centrepoint. They shape how we care for your child, and how we treat each other.

Patience

Whether it's reading the same story again, or wiping up paint for the fifth time, patience matters. When children are given time and understanding, they feel comfortable, they try things for themselves, and they grow into confident, independent learners.

Passion

We love this work, and it shows. Our passion is what keeps the days warm and cheerful, and what keeps us reflecting on how we care, so your child always gets our best.

Open communication

Good care is built on good relationships. That starts with listening to your child, and it means making real time for parents and carers, with honest, daily conversations. When you entrust your child to us, you should always know how their day has been.

Creativity

A playful attitude isn't just fun, it helps children learn new skills and discover the world. We use our imagination to step into theirs, and to find the right answer for each child and each family.

Respect

Respect runs through everything: for your child, for families, for our team and for the world around us. It means allowing time for the small, special moments, and encouraging children to be curious, independent and resilient.

Centrepoint by numbers

A quick picture of who we are today.

  • Around 140 people in our team, caring for children every day

  • More than 600 children cared for each year

  • 5 languages spoken across our team

  • 11 minibuses getting the children out exploring the island

What families tell us

“It would be impossible to thank Centrepoint enough for all the positive changes they have brought to our family life. The way both our boys have developed since starting nursery has been phenomenal, and it's absolutely heartwarming for us as parents to see. Knowing that they now have the opportunity to explore, learn, play with friends and make secure attachments with other adults is beyond amazing.”
