Through our ESML Scheme, we offer flexible childcare for families facing emergency, short, medium or long-term need. There's no shame in asking. Reaching out is the hardest part, and we'll take it from there with you.
Help when you need it most
Life doesn't always go to plan. Illness, loss or a sudden change can make day-to-day care hard to manage. When that happens, we can step in quickly so your child stays safe, settled and looked after.
Care for as long as it's needed
Some families need a few days. Others need longer while things settle. Our scheme covers emergency and short-term care right through to medium and longer-term placements, so the support fits your situation, not the other way round.
A conversation, not a hurdle
Just get in touch and we'll talk it through gently. Together we'll work out what kind of help is right for your family, and we'll do everything we can to find a place.
You're not on your own
As a Jersey charity, our purpose is simple: to make childcare possible for every family. We know that sometimes things get hard, through no fault of your own, and you just need to know your child is in safe hands. That's why we created the ESML Scheme, so support is already here when you need it. Our caring, qualified team will take the time to understand your situation and find the best way to help. We'll always do everything we can, though places do depend on availability and funding at the time.
